Donald Trump Admits He Received Money From China While President

“Donald Trump admitted he did receive money from foreign governments such as China while he was president, as his business was providing a “service” for them.

The report accused Trump of violating the U.S. Constitution’s foreign emoluments clause, which prohibits federal officials from accepting money or gifts from foreign governments without permission from Congress, after overseas officials stayed in his real estate company’s hotels and apartments during his time in the White House.

The January 4 report alleged that four businesses owned by Trump received around $7.8 million from 20 countries during his time in office, including at least $5.5 million from China, during his first two years as president. The report was released amid House Republicans‘ attempts to impeach President Joe Biden over allegations he benefited from his son Hunter Biden‘s foreign dealings while in office, despite no evidence to back up the claims.”

House GOP Calls Off Trump Financial Probe That Revealed Foreign Spending At His Hotel

“The Republican-controlled House is ending a yearslong probe into former President Donald Trump’s finances and whether his businesses benefited while he was president, The New York Times reported, as GOP lawmakers focus on investigating the Biden family’s connections to Chinese businesses.”

Trump Put Nearly $1 Million Of Donor Money Into His Own Pockets Since Leaving Office

“WASHINGTON — Donald Trump failed to spend much of the money he raised over the past two years fighting his 2020 election loss or helping Republicans win two Georgia Senate seats or funding a “red wave” in 2022, but he did manage to put nearly $1 million of his donors’ contributions right back into his own cash registers.

From the day he left office through the end of last year, the coup-attempting former president’s various political committees spent $905,570 at his properties, according to a HuffPost analysis of new Federal Election Commission filings.

From $94,462 that Trump’s Save America “leadership PAC” dropped at Trump’s hotel on Central Park West in Manhattan on Dec. 10, 2021, to $1,122 his newly reformed presidential campaign spent at his West Palm Beach golf course on Dec. 12, 2022, to twin $48 tabs the campaign spent at his Mar-a-Lago social club on Nov. 18, 2022, it all represents a conversion of donor money into revenues at Trump businesses, with the profits flowing directly to him personally.”

After helping prince’s rise, Trump and Kushner benefit from Saudi funds

“In early 2021, as Donald Trump exited the White House, he and his son-in-law Jared Kushner faced unprecedented business challenges. Revenue at Trump’s properties had plummeted during his presidency, and the attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters made his brand even more polarizing.

Kushner, whose last major business foray had left his family firm needing a $1.2 billion bailout, faced his own political fallout as a senior Trump aide.

But one ally moved quickly to the rescue.

The day after leaving the White House, Kushner created a company that he transformed months later into a private equity firm with $2 billion from a sovereign wealth fund chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Kushner’s firm structured those funds in such a way that it did not have to disclose the source, according to previously unreported details of Securities and Exchange Commission forms reviewed by The Washington Post. His business used a commonly employed strategy that allows many equity firms to avoid transparency about funding sources, experts said.

A year after his presidency, Trump’s golf courses began hosting tournaments for the Saudi fund-backed LIV Golf. Separately, the former president’s family company, the Trump Organization, secured an agreement with a Saudi real estate company that plans to build a Trump hotel as part of a $4 billion golf resort in Oman.”
